Individual Identity Within a Row
Halden Row consists of six attached townhomes, each given a slightly different massing, material accent, and entry sequence so no two homes feel identical. The variation is subtle, but it keeps the row from reading as a single repeated block.
Efficiency That Doesn’t Show
Shared party walls, aligned structural grids, and repeated floor plans kept construction costs predictable, but none of that efficiency is visible from the street. Each home still feels like a distinct, well-proportioned building in its own right.
Private Outdoor Space for Every Home
Rather than a single shared yard, each townhome was given its own small private terrace or garden, giving residents outdoor space they don’t have to negotiate or schedule. It’s a small move that makes a significant difference in how the row feels to live in.
